Overview:
Are you a very organized person who can multi task under pressure? Kings Dominion has an opening in our Secuirty department for a Security/Emergency Communications Associate.
This position is responsible for receiving and dispatching various levels of telephone and radio calls from all venues of the park.
Responsibilities:
Answer park phones and switchboard in a timely fashion then route call accurately and distributes messages.
Assist in preparing outgoing mail and distributing park mail.
Dispatches all routine and emergency traffic for assigned channelsMonitors and responds to all relevant radio trafficRecords clearly, all radio transmissions to and from base on assigned channelsFollows established procedures in notifying individuals of events happening in their respective locationsMonitors weather radar and lightning detectorAdvises appropriate units of weather conditions as directed by managementBroadcasts in-park pages as directed by managementMonitors and dispatches alarms recieved in the communications centerAnswers and processes routine calls to the communications centerAnswers and processes emergency calls to the communications centerCommunicates problems/concerns with situations and/or individuals to supervisorAssists supervisor with various deparmental tasksAssists security in reuniting lost guests.
Distributes materials to park guestsProvides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to receive, prioritize, and process multiple stimuli at the same time.
Qualifications:
Ability to successfully complete all required training.
Ability to speak clearly and concisely.
Prior park experience preferred.
Prior dispatch, security or radio experience preferred.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in computer skillsAbility to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Driver's License.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
